The Space Needle 5th Ave N and Broad St  - (206) 443-2111

It's a 43-second view-filled ride in a 10-mph elevator to reach the observation deck. There are maps to describe what you're seeing in each direction, and telescopes offer close-up views of Elliott Bay or of Mount Rainier, 90 miles away. There's an espresso bar and a lounge inside the observation deck.

The Woodland Park Zoo

Take I-5 north to NE 50th St (Exit #169). Go west 1.3 miles to the South Gate at N 50th St and Fremont Ave N. Over 300 species of animals live in award-winning naturalistic exhibits.

Washington Park Arboretum 2300 Arboretum Drive E

You can rent a canoe at the University of Washington Waterfront Activities Center  then explore the marshes and wildlife around Foster Island.

The arboretum's main waterfront trail begins near the Museum of History and Industry, where you'll find restrooms and plenty of parking.

Bellevue

Bellevue Square  - Located in downtown Bellevue on NE 8th & Bellevue Way.  Just a few minutes drive from the SQLSoft offices.   A premier shopping destination of the Northwest with tiled courtyards and high ceilings.  You can sip espresso at one of the sidewalk cafes and find over 200 world class shops and restaurants.  Adjacent to Bellevue Square is the city's award-winning Downtown Park with trademark 240-foot long waterfall and reflecting pond.

Redmond

Home to Microsoft and  �Bicycle Capital� of the Pacific Northwest. Outdoor enthusiasts are drawn to beautiful Marymoor Park with it's 500-acre playground. The Sammamish River Trail, a 10-mile paved people path begins at Marymoor Park and is shared part of the way by horses and riders. Directly across from the park is the new Redmond Town Center with more than 80 stores and restaurants.

Kirkland

A waterfront community on the shores of Lake Washington and only a few minutes drive from Bellevue via 104th NE to Lake Washington Blvd. Many fine restaurants, shops, art galleries and parks can be found along the waterfront on your way. You may even spot a Seattle Seahawk; as Kirkland headquarters the Northwest's professional football team.
